TECHNOLOGIE // THE DIFFERENCE
TECHNOLOGIE // AKTUELLE GENERATION

// Umschaltbare Gefechtsköpfe (Wähle einen Modus / Dial-a-Mode)
// Skalierbare/Dosierbare Gefechtsköpfe (Wähle eine Leistung / Dial-a-Yield)

// Richtbare Gefechtsköpfe (Wähle eine Wirkrichtung / Dial-a-Direction)
// Multi-Effekt / Spezial-Gefechtsköpfe (Wähle einen Effekt / Dial-an-Effect)

CHEMICAL DEPARTMENT
The chemical department reflects TDW’s claim as a unique integrated warhead system manufacturer. As a consequence the pilot plant and the chemical and physical laboratories comprise a state-of-the-art hardware and apply modern analytical methods in accordance with the international requirements for high explosives (e.g. STANAG, MIL, TL).
-
TEST CENTER
TDW is a subsidiary of MBDA Deutschland that can look back on over 50 years of experience in designing, developing, manufacturing and testing warhead systems. At our site in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, we operate a 20 Hectare (49,4 Acres) test facility as well as an environmental simulation center.
-
UNDERWATER WARHEAD SYSTEMS
Underwater operations call for weapon systems able to address the specific constraints of this environment such as water pressure and resistance; able to defeat submarine and/or surface threats in all operational environments from brown to blue waters.
-
SHAPED CHARGE WARHEAD SYSTEMS
TDW’s experience in the field of shaped charges began in the middle of the 1960’s with worldwide successful programmes such as the Milan and HOT families. Today, TDW’s shaped charges are integrated in numerous products of European and international missile houses.
-
RADIUS TECHNOLOGY
Meaning Range Adaptable Device Incorporating Unique Scaling, the first concept of the RADIUS® technology dates back to the late nineties. Development and testing began in 2009 to offer a solution which considers lessons learned from recent military engagements in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and the present budgetary constraints.
-
MEPHISTO PENETRATOR SYSTEM
The MEPHISTO lethal package was designed, tested and produced by TDW for the TAURUS KEPD 350 modular stand-off weapon system already in service with the German and Spanish Air Forces and is ordered by the Air Force of the Republic of Korea.
-
FLEXIBLE RESPONSE WARHEAD FAMILY
Military operations in asymmetric conflicts call for high precision and for a warhead terminal effect specifically adapted to the target. The warhead systems in the field today do not meet this requirement or only fulfil the requirement to a limited extent. What is required is a flexible warhead system capable of adapting the nature of its terminal effect according to the target type.
-
BLAST FRAGMENTATION WARHEAD SYSTEMS
TDW’s experience in the field of blast and blast/fragmentation warheads began at the end of the 1960’s with the French-German air-defence missile system Roland. Today, TDW’s blast/fragmentation warheads are integrated in numerous products of European and international missile houses.

CORPORATE PRESENTATION
The efficiency of guided weapon systems is vitally determined by their terminal effect on targets. Producing and intelligently controlling this terminal effect while simultaneously avoiding collateral damage are key features required in weapon systems.
