For his outstanding achievements in high explosives and warhead technologies, Dr. Arnold, Senior Expert at TDW for Warhead Systems & Lethality, was recognized with the MSIAC (Munitions Safety Information Analysis Center) “Career Achievement Award”. The award was handed over during the 2015 Insensitive Munitions and Energetic Materials Symposium in Rome recently.
Dr. Arnold can look back on more than 30 years in research and development at TDW with significant contributions to munition safety and insensitive munition technologies. During his professional career, he published more than 80 scientific papers. Dr. Arnold’s findings helped to improve the fundamental understanding of reaction mechanisms. Sharing this expertise makes him a valuable member of the “Insensitive Munitions European Manufacturers Group (IMEMG)”, where he is active for more than 10 years.
